This $500 scholarship will be awarded to an English/Language Arts teacher in his or her first two years of teaching who is currently employed in a North Dakota school for the 2008 – 2009 school year.

Submissions by applicant MUST include:

• Letter of recommendation from one teacher or administrator
• Completed application form (use recommendation form below)
• Personal statement essay about one of the following:

1. A current educational issue affecting your classes or school.
2. A reflection of your first year (s) of teaching.
