Discussion of NDCTE Summer 08 Conference:

Tentative Schedule for Summer Conference decided upon.
Themes for Future Conferences:
Summer 2009 July 26,27,28 in Fargo- Native American
Summer 2010 end of July in Mandan- Cowboy Poets
Summer 2011 end of July in Fargo- Technology
Discussion of Award Nominations:
Addition of an award discussed and will be voted upon at quorum board meeting.
Discussion of Newsletter:
Due Date for Submissions: Jan 15th, 2008
Focus: Standard 5: Media
Additional Discussion:
Regional Directors should submit article to Regional Teacher Center highlighting
NDCTE organization and its benefits. Also use Sue Anderson as contact person for
NDCTE membership.
Next Board Meeting: Sunday July 27th, 2007 at 3:00pm (Before Summer Conference)

Call to Order: Mandy Wardner
NDCTE 2008 Summer Conference: Standard 4 is the focus for the NDCTE 2008 Summer Conference. “Students engage in the speaking and listening process.”
Liason for University system: Marj Bubach nominated and inducted becoming a non-voting member of the board
NDCTE Newsletter: Quarterly distributed approx: Sept/Oct, Jan, Apr, June
Specific submission requests are published in the previous issue of the newsletter.
Articles for Sept/Oct issue of Newsletter: Deadline is Sept 15th, 2007.

1st Year Conference Attendee Article- Sarah will request from a member
Changes for NDCTE Newsletter: A notice is needed in the first two newsletter issues(Sept/Oct and Jan) of the change to only a digital format for the newsletter. Registration form should probably still be mailed but should also be downloadable from website.
Summer Conference Planning Meeting: Saturday Oct 27, 2007 in Fargo, ND beginning at 9am. Contact Sue Anderson for hotel room information.
Discussion from Evaluations:
Toni Gredesky and Annie Volk will be liaisons for discussion with NPWP Director, Dr. Robert Kibler.
Suggestions: include time for introductions to entire group 1st evening of conference, have some form of follow-up with registrants, have business meeting moved to morning of the first full day.
