Nominating Information
This $500 scholarship will be awarded to an English/Language Arts teacher in his or her first two years of teaching who is currently employed in a North Dakota school for the current school year.  

Scholarship Criteria:
  • Must be an English (Language Arts) teacher in their first or second year of teaching.
  • Must be employed in a North Dakota school during the most recent school year
Submissions by applicant MUST include:
  • Letter of recommendation from one teacher or administrator, outlining why the candidate is deserving. The letter should discuss the teacher's merit's and accomplishments, the teacher's positive influence on his or her students, the teacher's contributions and dedication to the profession, and/or any circumstances that make them especially qualified for scholarship.  
  • Essay to be written by nominee addressing the following prompt:  How do you inspire or motivate students to write?
