Writing Prompts For Your Well-being

Writing Challenge #2: Fiction at Night

7/1/2020

Night. A time of mystery. A time of wonder. A time of fear. A time when anything can happen, when things that seem ludicrous by daylight are suddenly much more plausible.
This week’s writing challenge is to use fiction to embrace the possibilities of the night!

Scroll through the six photos below. Choose a setting (feel free to take some artistic liberties with it) and place a character in the setting. What are they doing there? What are they seeing or experiencing? Are they alone? Is that a good or a bad thing?
Feel free to play—be as realistic or as fanciful as you’d like. Whether you focus on describing the setting or writing a dialogue or creating an action scene or writing internal dialogue is all up to you. Embrace the possibilities!
